Guus Til returns to bolster a depleted squad following a frightening head injury, while Peter Bosz manages a mounting injury list ahead of the vital European trip.

PSV Eindhoven have received a timely boost ahead of their Champions League meeting with FC Porto, with Guus Til expected to be available after recovering from the worrying head injury he sustained against ADO Den Haag.

According to Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad, Til is set to travel with the PSV squad to Portugal on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s European fixture. The attacking midfielder was forced off during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to ADO after falling and landing on the back of his head.

Til subsequently complained that he could no longer see properly, raising concerns about his condition and availability for the trip to Porto. However, the situation appears less serious than initially feared, with the 27-year-old now expected to be in contention for the Champions League encounter.

The news offers some relief to head coach Peter Bosz as PSV prepare for another important European test while dealing with a lengthy injury list.

Til Available, But Van Bommel Remains Out

While Til looks set to return, Ruben van Bommel will not be available against Porto.

The winger was left out of the squad against ADO after experiencing minor physical complaints and has not recovered sufficiently to feature on Tuesday. Instead, PSV are preparing him for Sunday's Eredivisie clash with Feyenoord, with the club hoping he will be fit for the high-profile domestic fixture.

Van Bommel’s absence leaves Bosz without a recognised left winger for the trip to Portugal, potentially limiting his options in attack.

Til, meanwhile, could provide valuable flexibility. He contributed to PSV’s opening goal against ADO before his injury, but his subsequent fall overshadowed his performance and left his immediate future in doubt.

His expected availability is particularly welcome given the number of attacking players currently sidelined.

Sildillia Returns As Injury List Remains Extensive

PSV have also welcomed Kiliann Sildillia back into the travelling squad. The reserve right-back will make the trip to Porto, offering Bosz another defensive option.

However, the club remain without several players for Tuesday’s match. Ricardo Pepi, Sam Lammers, Alassane Pléa, Jerdy Schouten, Adamo Nagalo, Sami Ouaissa and Paul Wanner are all expected to miss the Champions League fixture, alongside Van Bommel.

There is some positive news concerning Ouaissa, who is set to make his comeback by playing for Jong PSV against FC Dordrecht. His return to action represents progress, although he will not be available for the first-team trip to Portugal.

The absences leave PSV short of options across several areas of the pitch, making Til’s expected return and Sildillia’s availability important developments for Bosz.

Feyenoord Clash In Van Bommel’s Sights

For Van Bommel, the immediate priority is to recover in time for Sunday's meeting with Feyenoord. PSV are taking a cautious approach with the winger, who missed the ADO match because he was not considered fit enough to play.

His progress over the coming days will determine whether he can return for one of PSV’s most significant domestic fixtures.

Til’s situation has improved more quickly than initially anticipated, allowing PSV to take him to Portugal despite Saturday’s worrying incident. His availability does not resolve the club’s injury problems, but it gives Bosz another potential option as PSV look to respond to their defeat against ADO.

With Porto next on the schedule and Feyenoord following at the weekend, PSV will hope Til can make the European trip without complications while Van Bommel continues his recovery in Eindhoven.
