PSV and Ajax have both made repeated enquiries about Valencia forward Arnaut Danjuma. The 29-year-old is reportedly open to returning to the Netherlands, with both Dutch giants assessing whether a deal can be reached.

PSV and Ajax are both seriously considering a move for Arnaut Danjuma, with the Dutch giants having made multiple enquiries about the Valencia forward in recent weeks.

According to Spanish sources as relayed by transfer journalist Mounir Boualin of Soccernews, both clubs have gathered information about the player's situation and financial demands. Danjuma himself is, in principle, open to a return to the Netherlands.

Danjuma is one of the names being considered as a potential replacement.

The Amsterdam club have already sounded out the forward regarding his stance on a possible move to the Johan Cruyff ArenA. However, Ajax remain in an exploratory phase and have not yet submitted an official offer to Valencia.

A potential reunion with Míchel could also work in Ajax's favour. Danjuma worked under the Spanish coach at Girona during the 2024-25 campaign, making 28 La Liga appearances and seven Champions League appearances.

Ajax are also considering Noa Lang, although a deal for the Napoli winger would be considerably more expensive.

Danjuma still has two years remaining on his Valencia contract, but the Spanish club are reportedly willing to listen to offers.

A transfer fee of only a few million euros could be enough to open the door, while his departure would also provide Valencia with additional room in their wage budget.

Ajax are therefore aware of the financial parameters should they decide to make Danjuma their preferred target.

For now, there are no concrete negotiations between Ajax and Valencia.

PSV Have Long-Standing Interest

PSV's interest in Danjuma is not new.

The Eindhoven club have monitored the attacker across several transfer windows and could consider another approach this summer if one of their current forwards leaves.

In particular, a departure for Esmir Bajraktarević or Couhaib Driouech could prompt PSV to accelerate their interest. Danjuma's ability to operate in several attacking positions makes him an attractive option for Peter Bosz's squad.

PSV have also established the financial conditions surrounding a potential deal, including Danjuma's salary demands and Valencia's willingness to negotiate.

However, unlike Ajax, PSV have not yet taken the next concrete step towards an agreement.

For Danjuma, a return to the Netherlands would represent a homecoming of sorts.

Born in Nigeria with Dutch roots, the forward came through PSV's youth academy before beginning his senior career with NEC. He subsequently moved to Club Brugge and went on to play for Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Girona before joining Valencia.

With both PSV and Ajax now monitoring his situation, Danjuma could soon face a choice between two of the Netherlands' biggest clubs.

For the moment, neither club has submitted a concrete proposal, but the information already gathered means either transfer could move quickly if Danjuma becomes the preferred target.
