PSV now know the full route through the 2026/27 Champions League league phase, with Peter Bosz’s side opening at home against Shakhtar Donetsk before travelling to face Real Madrid in November.
UEFA confirmed PSV’s complete Champions League schedule on Saturday, giving the Eindhoven club a clear picture of what lies ahead in Europe.
PSV will begin their campaign on Thursday, September 10, when Shakhtar Donetsk visit Eindhoven. The opening fixture gives Bosz’s side home advantage before a short break in their European schedule, with the second Champions League match not coming until October 13.
The draw has given PSV four home fixtures against Shakhtar Donetsk, Atlético Madrid, Club Brugge and VfB Stuttgart, while the Dutch champions will travel to Viking Stavanger, FC Porto, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.
The standout away fixture arrives on November 24, when PSV travel to the Spanish capital to face Real Madrid.
Another attractive encounter is on October 20, with FC Porto welcoming PSV in Portugal.
The league phase concludes on Wednesday, January 27, 2027, when PSV host VfB Stuttgart.

Under the Champions League’s current format, all 36 participating clubs play eight league-phase matches.
The final standings then determine who progresses. The top eight qualify directly for the Round of 16, while teams finishing 9th to 24th enter an intermediate knockout round for another opportunity to reach the last 16.
Teams finishing 25th to 36th are eliminated from European competition.
For PSV, the objective is, therefore, not simply to collect points against individual opponents, but to finish as high as possible in the overall table.
PSV seeking improvement in Europe
The Eindhoven club will be looking to improve on last season’s European campaign. PSV finished the previous league phase with eight points despite memorable victories over Liverpool and Napoli but failed to progress.
