Peter Bosz’s side will command a massive presence across Europe as thousands of dedicated supporters will travel to back the Dutch champions in Germany and Portugal.
PSV will not be short of support during a demanding Champions League away run, with thousands of supporters preparing to follow Peter Bosz’s side to both Leipzig and Porto.
The Dutch champions face consecutive European away fixtures against RB Leipzig and FC Porto this month, and the official away sections for both matches have already sold out.
In total, 4,761 PSV supporters have secured tickets through the club’s official allocation for the two matches, highlighting the scale of the travelling support.
More Than 2,200 PSV Fans in Leipzig
PSV travel to Germany next Tuesday to face RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00.
As relayed by PSV Inside, more than 2,200 PSV supporters are expected to fill the away section.
The journey will be made by supporters using a variety of means, with fans travelling by train, bus, plane and private transport to back the team in Germany.
The official allocation, however, is unlikely to represent the full extent of PSV’s support in Leipzig. Several supporters have also managed to secure individual tickets for sections of the stadium designated for home fans.
That means the Dutch club could have an even larger following inside the Red Bull Arena than the official away allocation suggests.
Porto Awaits One Week Later
Seven days after the Leipzig fixture, PSV will be back on the road for another major European night.
FC Porto will play against Bosz’s team at the Estádio do Dragão on Tuesday, 20 October, with the match also scheduled for 21:00.
Around 2,500 PSV supporters will officially occupy the away end in Portugal.
Once again, the number of travelling fans is expected to be higher than the official allocation. PSV supporters have obtained additional tickets independently, while the PSV Supporters Association is also organising a special supporters flight to Porto.
The scale of the travelling support means both Leipzig and Porto can expect a significant PSV presence during the club’s Champions League campaign.
Strong European Away Support
The extensive travel plans have also prompted comparisons with the European away support of other Dutch clubs.
One PSV supporter on X pointed to the club’s ability to sell out its European away allocations, contrasting it with occasions when Ajax and Feyenoord have struggled to fill their away sections.
The away sections for PSV’s upcoming Champions League fixtures against Leipzig and Porto are both sold out, while supporters continue to make their own travel arrangements and seek tickets elsewhere inside the stadiums.
For Bosz and his players, the message is clear ahead of two difficult European assignments: PSV will have substantial travelling support behind them in Germany and Portugal.
