According to a recent report, the Real Madrid president's mystery €150M target has been identified, and it is not Michael Olise.
The day for which every Real Madrid fan has been waiting has finally arrived, as they will officially get to know who their president will be going into the new season.
Both candidates went on to make some really extravagant claims over the past few days, as Florentino Perez claimed to have already agreed terms with Jose Mourinho and also confirmed Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate as the club's defensive additions for the next campaign.
On the other hand, the challenger, Enrique Riquelme, went on to confirm Erling Haaland and Rodri as his key signings once he is elected as the new president, an announcement that seemed a bit controversial, as Manchester City and Haaland's agent came out to strongly deny those claims.
Florentino then decided to raise the stakes even higher, promising to submit a club-record €150 million bid as soon as he gets re-elected, but didn't want to reveal the player's identity, unlike Riquelme.
Although Perez gave a few hints on who might not be his desired player as the 76-year-old commented, saying, "It’s not Doku, and it’s not Haaland, it’s not Kane, it’s not Olise. The €150m deal is not for a defender. It could be a midfielder or a forward. He is a young player. And he is not from the Premier League. He’s a total Galactio."
Since then, there has been a lot of buzz about who the mystery player actually is, as various experts have claimed it is none other than Bayern Munich star Michael Olise.
It certainly looked legit until a recent report from TEAMtalk emerged, suggesting that Perez's €150M signing is actually Paris Saint-Germain forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to their "well-placed sources close to the club".
The Georgian international has played a pivotal role in PSG's back-to-back Champions League triumphs, recording 19 goals and 11 assists across all competitions this campaign, helping the Parisians defend the UCL and the Ligue 1 title.
Now with the new rumors coming in, the 25-year-old, being a lifelong Cristiano Ronaldo fan, might just fall in love with the idea of playing at the same club where his idol has etched his name in the record books, and the claimed offer of €150M is almost double what PSG paid in order to bring him in during the 2025 winter transfer window.
But as one of our previous reports mentioned, the current Los Blancos players could have an adverse effect on their minds regarding these recent claims and rumors.
This might just be the case with Vinicius Junior, as the Brazilian has only one year left on his contract, and extension talks have failed to meet the expectations of both the club and the player. Now, with the Kvaratskhelia being linked with a move to the Bernabeu, alarm bells could already be ringing in the Brazilian winger's mind.
