Bournemouth are flying! A stunning 3-0 demolition of Aston Villa books the Cherries a place in the EFL Cup quarter finals, setting up a trip to Liverpool. That's three consecutive 3-0 wins in three different competitions, and even with some rotation, the team continues to look seriously impressive.
Bournemouth continued their remarkable run of form with a superb 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, booking their place in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup and setting up an away trip to Liverpool in the next round. The Cherries have now recorded three consecutive 3-0 wins across three different competitions, underlining just how impressive this team has become. What makes the latest triumph even more encouraging is that Bournemouth once again rotated their squad, yet still delivered a commanding performance against an Aston Villa side who have made an excellent start to the season under Unai Emery. With confidence growing, goals flowing and competition for places increasing, Marco Rose will be delighted with the strength in depth at his disposal. The reward is a difficult quarter final tie at Anfield against former head coach Andoni Iraola, with Bournemouth daring to dream of a place in the semi finals.
IMAGO / Action PlusMichele Di Gregorio
Another clean sheet for Bournemouth's summer loan signing, and probably his best performance to date. Tested on a couple of occasions by Villa striker Brian Madjo, Michele stood up well and looked commanding throughout. 8/10
Juanlu Sanchez
A first start for Juanlu and he performed well, certainly getting better as the game progressed. Caught a few times in the opening period but looked stronger second half, unlucky not to bag a goal himself. 7/10
Bafode Diakite
Solid display from the French central defender, showing Rose that he can be called upon when needed. Done well in his duels and was part of another impressive clean sheet for the Cherries. 7/10
Antonio Silva
The summer signing seems to look even more impressive with every game he plays. Antonio is showing maturity above his years at the heart of the backline, with a seriously strong passing range to go with it. 8/10
IMAGO / Pro Sports ImagesJulio Soler
A really strong display from the young left back, who looks to also be getting physically more competitive. A superb assist for the opening to set the Cherries on their way to another victory, Julio should be pleased with his performance once again. 8/10
Ryan Christie
Energetic as ever, Ryan came back into the side and overran the Aston Villa midfield with ease. Dependable performance as is so often the case with the Scotsman. 7/10
Lewis Cook
Often wondered if this may be Lewis' chance to shine and he is certainly grabbing said opportunity. His first goal for some time was thoroughly deserved with an intelligent and classy performance for the entirety. 9/10
IMAGO / Pro Sports ImagesMarcus Tavernier
Influential in the first half with his aggressive pressing and energy, pivotal to the Cherries opener. 8/10
Amine Adli
A top first half performance from the Moroccan who once again found the net, feels like a new signing since his return from injury. 8/10
Ben Gannon-Doak
So direct and so exciting to watch, Ben is quickly turning into a fans favourite. If the Scottish winger can find that finishing touch he is going to be one hell of a player and option going forward. 8/10
Alvaro Rodriguez
Really good and important to see Alvaro net his first goal from open play for the club, he is certainly improving with more minutes under his belt. 8/10

Introduced at half time, both Justin Kluivert and Rayan helped Cherries on their way and caused Villa no end of problems. Solid cameos from David Brooks and Tyler Adams, and good to see some more minutes for the returning Junior Kroupi.
