SullyTalkz Exclusive: With Casemiro departing and personal terms reportedly settled, Manchester United are intensifying talks to bring Brazilian midfielder Ederson to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United are looking to sign several new midfielders this summer transfer window, following the appointment of Michael Carrick as the club's new head coach.
It has already been confirmed that Casemiro accept to leave for club after four years when his contract expires of the end of next month.
At the same time, Manuel Ugarte is being linked with a number of clubs in both Italy and Turkey as he seeks a fresh challenge.
The club have been linked with a number of names, such as Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, and Sandro Tonali over the last few months, but a deal is also in the works for Atalanta's Ederson.

Roundtable understands that Atalanta and United have held talks regarding the Brazilian international, and that these talks are progressing well.
It is also understood that, while a final agreement is yet to be reached, personal terms are not expected to be an issue.
Reports from Italy have emerged in the last 24 hours that a deal has been agreed at around the £45 million mark; however, these claims are premature for now.
Interestingly, John Murtough, United's former football director, is currently working at Atalanta as their Director of Global Development within the Club's Sports Department.
United keen to give Carrick recruitment powers
On Friday morning, United announced that Carrick has signed a two-year contract with the Reds following his side's stunning form across 2026, winning 11 of their 16 Premier League fixures.
Jason Wilcox, the club's director of football, stated that qualifying for the Champions League had a big role to play in the decision.
Roundtable reported last week that, amid negotiations between Carrick and United's senior officials, the head coach demanded a significant say and role in recruitment heading into the summer.
Carrick made it clear that he wanted more say in who joined his squad than his predecessor, Rúben Amorim, a demand the club welcomed.
It has already been reported that amid Real Madrid's interest in Diogo Dalot, Carrick has informed the club that the right-back's future must remain at Old Trafford.
With the club aiming to lift the Premier League title during the 2027/28 campaign, which coincides with United's 150th anniversary, they are showing plenty of faith in Carrick and his methods, pointing to a pivotal transfer window this summer.
