The Belgian appears to be a potential candidate to become the next Celtic manager, with Martin O'Neill stepping down in the summer.
Martin O'Neill is set to step down as Celtic manager at the end of the campaign, when his interim run is scheduled to come to an end. He has expressed interest in continuing in a role off the pitch. But when it comes to the dugout, there will be a fresh face there.
For most Celtic fans, Ange Postecoglou would have been the perfect candidate. But the Australian has openly ruled out the possibility of heading back to Parkhead despite enjoying his spell in Glasgow.
Names like Jens Berthel Askou, Robbie Keane, Craig Bellamy, Roberto Martinez and quite a few others have been linked with the Parkhead job in recent weeks as well.
Now, it looks like another name has emerged as a potential candidate for the vacant Celtic job in the summer.
It is not a new name though. It is someone who had been linked with the Parkhead post earlier in the season after Brendan Rodgers left. But a lot has changed for him since that time.
Reports suggest that Nicky Hayen is now seen as a potential outsider as Celtic look for their next manager.
Hayen was the Club Brugge manager the last time Celtic were linked with him. He has exited that club since then, having been sacked in December. But he was at Genk a couple of weeks later and has made a positive impression there.
Hayen was able to guide Genk into the round of 16 of the Europa League before being knocked out by SC Freiburg. He has also improved their form in domestic competition.
Would Hayen be open to leaving the club so soon after joining them? It is worth noting that he is said to have signed an 'open-ended' contract with them when he joined in December.
Of course, this is all speculation at this point in time and it remains to be seen who Celtic eventually end up making a move for when the time comes. One would hope that they have some proven candidates in mind and do not repeat the mistake they made when hiring Wilfried Nancy.
The club need someone who is capable of dealing with the pressure that comes with expectations. Celtic play to win every game. Every draw is seen as a bad result. Not everybody can deal with the demand to succeed constantly, week in, week out.
Hayen has won trophies in his career. So, at least, he is a proven winner. Of course, that does not mean he would automatically succeed in the Celtic job.
