There is some bad news for Celtic as the official announcement has now been made by both clubs.
The focus of fans is currently on the ongoing World Cup. But that does not mean that the Celtic hierarchy can afford to relax. Not after the season that we just saw unfold.
Celtic might have won the double but their performances were nowhere near the mark. They will need to strengthen their squad by bringing in quality players over this summer transfer window.
Unfortunately, though, it looks like their coaching team has been weakened as an official announcement has now been made.
Martin O'Neill has been brought back as manager. But it is unclear how much of his coaching team will continue as well.
There has been so much written about Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham already. But it looks like they will continue in their roles.
It is Gavin Strachan who won't. For a while now, it has been reported that he had agreed on a deal with West Brom Albion.
West Bromwich Albion have now officially announced that Strachan will join the English club as part of James Morrison's coaching team.
Strachan had been in a coaching role at Celtic since 2020. And while he had not been regarded highly by the supporters early on in his run at Parkhead, no one can deny that he has been part of the club's five consecutive league-winning campaigns.
His time at Celtic now comes to an end. It is quite clear that Strachan wanted to take the next step in his coaching journey. He has done so by moving down south.
The Celtic fans will surely wish him well in his new chapter as a coach and hope to see him succeed in his new role.
It remains to be seen how Celtic go about replacing him in O'Neill's coaching team, if the Northern Irishman does feel that a replacement needs to be brought in.
This does give the club another extra headache during a period of time when they already have a lot to think about.
It remains to be seen how the club go about trying to strengthen the team both on the pitch and in the dugout.
As for the coaching situation, Efrain Juarez had been linked with the job. Reports in Mexico suggested that he was offered the role with the aim for him to end up becoming the manager when O'Neill's run ended.
Juarez has instead ended up joining Gyor in Hungary. So, that open is pretty much off the table, even if it is something that the Hoops considered at one point.
