It looks like Celtic are now 'pushing hard' to sign the World Cup player, who is available for €6-7 million.

Celtic should be looking to strengthen in as many areas as possible in this summer transfer window. The fans have been left frustrated by the lack of activity over the first few weeks. But finally, it does feel like the Hoops are picking up some pace.

The Camilo Duran deal is over the line, as the club have finally added some more quality to Martin O'Neill's forward line.

On the other hand, Celtic are expected to try and strengthen their options on the flanks as well. The two signings from last summer, Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sebastian Tounekti, did not meet expectations.

One of this World Cup's standout wingers seems to be on Celtic's radar. And they are now accelerating their plans to sign him.

According to journalist George Tsarouchas, Celtic are pushing hard for Haissem Hassan. Real Oviedo's demands are about €6-7 million.

Celtic are not alone in their admiration of the winger though. Spanish and English teams are also in the race to sign him.

The €6-7 million figure is much lower than the €12 million release clause in Hassan's deal at Real Oviedo that has been brought up in the media recently.

At the same time though, it is bit more than the reported €4 million offer Celtic have already put in trying to sign Hassan from Real Oviedo.

It remains to be seen if Celtic are willing to pay the fee required to sign Hassan from Real Oviedo in the ongoing summer transfer window. If they do, it could be an underrated coup.

Would Hassan be the right signing for Celtic?

Of course, Hassan's numbers from last season do not pop out of the page. He had no goals and three assists all season.

The one thing that cannot be overlooked though is the fact that those numbers were put up while playing for a team that finished at the bottom of the table.

We have seen what Hassan is capable of at his best at the World Cup. Perhaps what he needs is to be in a team that plays on the front foot and we will see him put up the numbers.

The underlying stats are already impressive. It is also worth pointing out that Celtic have been linked with the winger since before his breakout performance at the tournament.

With Real Oviedo getting relegated, it is almost certain that Hassan will be on his way out. Where will he end up? That is the question.
