The Rangers' official account ended up making a public U-turn after losing at the hands of Celtic at Parkhead.

Going into the Glasgow Derby, the Rangers knew that they were realistically out of the title race after losing their opening two post-split fixtures. But stopping Celtic from winning the league would have been motivation enough for Danny Rohl's side.

Well, they did not deliver. Three post-split defeats in a row for the Rangers, while Celtic are now just a point behind Hearts in the title race.

With just two games left to be played, Celtic cannot afford to get complacent for a second, even after this Glasgow Derby win. Just one slip up and Hearts will be champions.

Celtic have a tough away fixture coming up next against Motherwell, arguably the best team in Scotland at the moment, in terms of the quality of football they play.

At the end of the day, Celtic do have their destiny in their hands now, which is more than what they could have said coming into this matchday. If they can win their remaining two games, they are guaranteed to be champions of Scotland. Now, it is up to the team and the management to deliver, having done well to claw back into this position.

As for the Rangers, it is another trophyless season. And they might have just made things worse for themselves with some pre-match confidence.

According to 67 Hail Hail, before kick-off, Rangers posted an aerial image of Celtic Park alongside a blue heart and the hashtag #Awaydays.

Well. it did not quite work out well for them. After the game, Celtic's official account ended up replying to that tweet, and ultimately, the Rangers ended up deleting it from their social media.

That was quite the own goal on social media from the Rangers there, even though things did not get as bad for them on the pitch. All three came from Celtic players.

Obviously, the pick of the lot was from Daizen Maeda. Of course, we are talking about his second as he set up his own overhead kick, which was an unsavable strike from the Japanese international.

It will go down as one of the greatest goals in Glasgow Derby history. Not just for the quality of the strike but also for what it meant in the context of the contest.

It put the game to bed and secured a 3-1 victory for the Hoops. And who knows what it might mean in the long run in the context of the title race.
