The Long Island Nets’ 2026-27 schedule is officially here, featuring 50 games and a return to Canada. The Nets will play four home games in Quebec while continuing to build their presence across the border.
The Long Island Nets now know what their 2026-27 season will look like.
Brooklyn’s G League affiliate released its 50-game schedule for the upcoming season, with Long Island opening the year on the road before returning home for its Nassau Coliseum opener.
The Nets will begin the season Friday, Nov. 6, against the Greensboro Swarm. After two more road games, Long Island will host the College Park Skyhawks on Friday, Nov. 13, for its first home game of the season.
One of the more notable parts of the schedule is the Nets’ continued presence in Canada.
For the third straight season, Long Island will play home games at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. The Nets will have four games there this season, starting with a two-game series against the Raptors 905 on Jan. 8 and 9.
Long Island will return to Place Bell in March for two more games, facing the Noblesville Boom, the Indiana Pacers’ G League affiliate, on March 4 and 7.
The Nets have made Quebec a regular part of their schedule in recent years, and it has paid off with strong crowds. Long Island has played in front of sellout crowds in the Montreal suburb six times over the past two seasons as the organization continues working to grow its fanbase in the area.
The team will also have a local connection in new head coach Shawn Swords, a Canadian who speaks French.
Away from Quebec, Long Island will play 20 of its 24 home games at Nassau Coliseum. The other 24 games will be on the road, including two games at the NBA G League Winter Showcase in Orlando in December.
There will also be plenty of promotions for fans attending games at the Coliseum.
“Nets Value Nights” will be held during Monday, Wednesday, and Friday home games, with 10 of Long Island’s 20 Coliseum games included in the promotion. Fans will be able to take advantage of $5 concession specials during those games.
The Nets are also bringing back their Student Section program. College students and fans with a valid .edu email address can purchase $10 tickets in Section 19.
As for the roster, there are still plenty of spots to be filled with training camp set to open toward the end of October. Chaney Johnson, Tyler Bilodeau, and Grant Nelson currently occupy Long Island’s three two-way spots, while Nick Pringle has joined the organization on an Exhibit 10 contract.
Long Island will also have another opportunity to find talent before the season begins. The Nets’ annual local player tryout is scheduled for Sept. 13 at Long Island University’s Post Campus in Old Westbury, giving local players a chance to earn an invitation to training camp.
Several players from Brooklyn’s Summer League roster could also be in the mix for Long Island. That group includes Dain Dainja, John Ukomadu, Aaron Scott, Ben Humrichous, Dwight Murray Jr., Dion Brown, and Hunter Sallis.
Duke Brennan could also have been a candidate to join the Nets’ G League affiliate. Still, he decided to use his extra year of college eligibility and committed to play at Oklahoma instead.
For now, Long Island has its schedule in place and several months to prepare for the start of the season.
The Nets will open the 2026-27 campaign on Nov. 6, with 50 games ahead of them, four of which are set to take place in Quebec.
