The Washington Huskies football team is looking to put the finishing touches on a 2027 recruiting class that is shaping out to be one of, if not the best in program history.

The Huskies' '27 recruiting class is currently comprised of 15 commitments and is ranked 13th in the country per 247Sports.

Washington will have the opportunity to raise the '27 class' current standing with the impending decisions of several three-and-four star players in the coming weeks, many of whom have the Huskies listed as one of their finalists.

Washington will host many of those '27 targets for official visits in the coming weeks.

While the Huskies await the arrival of those potential players and their decisions, they've started to get a start in on the 2028 recruiting class.

So far, Washington seems to be swinging for the fences with the '28 graduates.

The Huskies have already extended offers to the top two players in Arizona in the class, five-star edge rushers Landen Wade and Jalanie George. The latter of the two already has named Washington as one of his top teams.

In addition to those two players, Washington has also offered a top-five quarterback in the class, Detroit signal-caller Donald Tabron II.

The Huskies are also looking in to add a crown jewel to the backfield in the '28 recruiting class. UW extended an offer to four-star running back Sean Simon earlier this month on May 4.

Simon, like Tabron, George and Wade, is a top-75 player in the Class of '28. Simon is currently ranked as the 62nd-best player, fifth-best running back and eighth best players in Texas in the class per the 247Sports composite.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound tailback attends LaPorte High School in LaPorte, Texas, and has been one of the dominant running backs in the state from the onset of his freshman season.

In two seasons with the Bullogs, Simon has totaled 430 rushed for 3,793 yards (8.8 yards per carry) and 46 touchdowns. In his sophomore season this past fall, Simon ran the ball 253 times for 2,191 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Simon currently commands an impressive offer list despite having two more years left of high school ball. He's been offered from Kentucky, Florida State, Houston, SMU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, TCU, Arizona State and Florida, among others.

It's still really early in his recruiting process, but several Texas universities seem to be the front-runners for him.

According to Rivals.com's prediction model, Houston, SMU and TCU have the likeliest odds to land Simon at 9.6%, 8.4% and 7.2%, respectively.
