The Huskies continued their blitz of offers for notable recruits by extending one to pass-catcher Mylan Griggs
The Washington Huskies football team has been extremely proactive in attempting to make a great first impression on Class of 2028 recruits.
The Huskies are still attempting to land several high-priority targets for the Class of 2027, which currently ranks 13th in the country per 247Sports.
The impending finalization of the '27 class hasn't stopped Washington from swinging for the fences in the early recruiting of Class of '28 players.
The Huskies have offered several blue-chip top 100 players in the nation, including five-star edge rushers Landen Wade and Jalanie George, five-star quarterback Donald Tabron II and four-star running back Sean Simon. George has already named Washington as one of his top teams early into the recruiting cycle.
One of the best wins of the '27 recruiting class for Washington was its abilityt o land an established connection.
The Huskies landed commitments from four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf and four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney.
Washington appears to be attempting to land another high school quarterback-to-wide receiver connection in the '28 class.
Tabron, who's ranked as the third-best quarterback in the '28 class per the 247Sports composite, attends Cass Technical High School in Detroit.
On Sunday, three-star wide receiver Mylan Griggs made a post on "X" announcing that he had received an offer from the Huskies. Griggs attends Cass Technical with Tabron and is also in the Class of '28.
Griggs is currently ranked as the 358th-best overall player, 53rd-best wide receiver and eighth-best player from Michigan in the class, per the 247Sports composite.
The 6-foot-1, 172-pound pass-catcher has been one of Tabron's go-to targets. He had eight catches for over 100 yards in Cass Technical's state championship loss to Detroit Catholic Central in December.
Since head coach Jedd Fisch took over the program ahead of the 2024 season, the Huskies have steadily progressed as a force on the recruiting trail.
Based on 247Sports' rankings, the 2025 class ranked 23rd nationally, the 2026 class ranked 12th in the country. The '26 class was the highest-ranked class in program history.
Based on the impending decisions of several UW recruiting targets, the '27 class could exceed the '26 one for the highest-ranked in program history.
Washington seems to be gearing up to continue its progression as a legitimate national force in recruiting, and a potential duo commit of Tabron and Griggs would go a long way in making that happen.
