Despite a frustrating stalemate at the Philips Stadion, the midfielder insists the reigning champions outclassed their rivals and remain the Eredivisie's most dominant force as the trophy hunt intensifies.
PSV midfielder Guus Til believes the reigning Dutch champions remain the strongest team in the Eredivisie despite dropping points in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Feyenoord at the Philips Stadion.
Til opened the scoring with a superb volley in the first half, but PSV were unable to turn their dominance into a decisive victory. Anis Hadj-Moussa equalised after the interval, leaving Peter Bosz's side four points behind the Rotterdam club in the league standings.
The result was a frustrating one for PSV, who created several opportunities but lacked the clinical finishing required to claim all three points. Til acknowledged that his side had missed chances, yet remained confident that their performances offered reasons for optimism.
“I still believe we're the best,” Til said after the match.

PSV enjoyed the better of the first half, controlling much of the play and creating opportunities to extend their lead after Til's opener. However, their momentum dipped for around 15 minutes following the break, allowing Feyenoord to grow into the contest.
Til admitted that the visitors became more threatening during that period, although he felt they had not created any major opportunities before Hadj-Moussa found the net.
“Feyenoord didn't create any major chances during that spell, but they did become more of a threat. Then came the moment from Hadj-Moussa, who put it in the net,” he explained.
“In the heat of the moment, you aren't consciously thinking about the shift in momentum; you're just trying to regain control.”
Despite the setback, Til believed PSV recovered sufficiently to remain the more dangerous side and felt the home team had done enough to win.
“I think we were better than Feyenoord today, and I believe we deserved to win.”

PSV have found goals harder to come by in recent weeks, scoring five times across their last five competitive matches. However, Til does not believe the numbers tell the whole story.
The forward pointed to the circumstances surrounding recent fixtures, including PSV's defeat against ADO Den Haag, when they played with ten men, and the demanding encounters against FC Porto and Feyenoord.
“Against ADO, we were down to ten men, and the matches against Porto and today were both top-tier encounters,” he said.
“Of course, we could have scored more in those games, but we are still creating chances. As long as that continues, I'm not too worried about the long term.”
For Til, the priority is to eliminate the lapses in concentration that have cost PSV valuable points rather than overhaul their attacking approach.
“I don't think we've played poorly lately, but there have been specific moments where we didn't perform well, lapses in concentration. Those need to be cut out.”

Although Til remains convinced of PSV's quality, he acknowledged that Feyenoord currently hold the stronger position in the title race.
The draw means the Rotterdam side retain a four-point advantage, leaving PSV with work to do if they are to defend their Eredivisie crown.
“That's why I'm not satisfied. They're four points ahead, so they're in the best position. But we had the better of the play,” Til said, as relayed by Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad.
“If we can be less erratic in the coming period, we'll have cracked the code. That's what a title race is all about.”
His comments reflect a belief that PSV's recent difficulties stem more from isolated mistakes than a sustained decline in performance. Greater consistency, particularly in decisive moments, could prove crucial as the season progresses.

Til also discussed the tactical differences created by Ruben van Bommel's deployment alongside him in attack. Van Bommel started as the central striker, offering a different profile from Sven Mijnans, who is more accustomed to operating as a playmaker.
“Today was different, with Ruben playing close to me. He makes more runs in behind and gets in front of the goal more often. Sven is more of a playmaker,” Til explained.
The PSV forward also revealed that he had urged the younger players to maintain their intensity and avoid unnecessary risks during an open contest.
“I told the younger lads that they needed to bring energy. It's about the tempo of the game; otherwise, you get overrun. I also told them not to try any fancy tricks. It was a very open game.”
PSV ultimately had to settle for a point, but Til's message was clear: the champions remain confident in their ability. If they can turn their chances into goals and eliminate costly mistakes, they believe they can still challenge Feyenoord for the title.
