Lutsharel Geertruida has arrived at TopSupport in Eindhoven to undergo his PSV medical, marking another key step towards completing his proposed loan move from RB Leipzig.
The long-running saga surrounding Geertruida appears to be entering its final stages. The Netherlands international arrived in Eindhoven on Tuesday evening, according to De Telegraaf, after PSV and RB Leipzig reached a preliminary agreement over a loan transfer earlier this week.
There had initially been some uncertainty surrounding the medical examination. Sky Sports Deutschland reported that Geertruida was expected to undergo his assessment on Wednesday, but De Telegraaf subsequently revealed that the examination had been delayed because one outstanding point between the clubs still needed to be resolved.
That issue was not specified.

The latest development suggests that the remaining formalities are now being addressed. Video footage shared on social media by PSV Universe shows Geertruida arriving at TopSupport in Eindhoven for his medical examination.
The defender was not alone. PSV's senior figures, Marcel Brands, Earnest Stewart and Mart van den Heuvel, were also spotted at the location.
“Also Earnest Stewart, Marcel Brands and Mart were spotted by us!” PSV Universe wrote alongside the footage.
The presence of PSV's key officials underlines the importance of the medical as the club seeks to complete the deal for the former Feyenoord captain.
Loan Agreement With Leipzig
PSV's pursuit of Geertruida has been ongoing for several weeks. The Eindhoven club had already reached a personal agreement with the player, who has been keen on a move to PSV.
RB Leipzig had initially preferred a permanent transfer and were reluctant to consider a loan. However, the German club has now agreed in principle to allow Geertruida to move to Eindhoven on loan.
The proposed deal is understood to include a purchase option, giving PSV the opportunity to make the defender's stay permanent.
For Peter Bosz, Geertruida's arrival would provide another experienced option in a defence that has come under scrutiny during the opening stages of the season.
