Filip Kostić has arrived at PSV with a wealth of experience from Stuttgart, Hamburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Juventus. The Serbian winger is expected to provide quality and experience on the left flank under Peter Bosz.
PSV completed the signing of Filip Kostić, presenting the 33-year-old last Thursday after his arrival on a free transfer from Juventus.
The Serbian international has been brought in as the desired successor to Anass Salah-Eddine, with PSV expecting his experience to add another dimension to Peter Bosz's squad.
Kostić spent the early years of his European career with FC Groningen between 2012 and 2014 before moving to VfB Stuttgart. His career subsequently took him to Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, where he established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most recognised attacking wide players, before joining Juventus in 2022.

The experienced Serbian is expected to operate primarily at left-back for PSV, with Bosz having already spoken to the player about the position.
That role will require Kostić to contribute both defensively and offensively in a system where the full-backs are expected to push forward.
Speaking on the Red White Podcast, PSV supporter Pascal van der Voort welcomed the signing when asked by presenter Jessy Hobbelen what he expected from the veteran.
“A very good one. I think you're bringing in a player with a lot of experience. I think that's important in any case,” Van der Voort said, as quoted by PSV Inside.
Hobbelen then noted that PSV see Kostić as a left-back, adding that “Bosz has spoken with him purely about the left-back position.”
For Van der Voort, that makes the signing particularly relevant given Bosz's tactical demands.
“We of course play with attacking full-backs. In that respect, from that point of view. A wall of experience.”

Kostić made a significant number of appearances for Juventus, with much of his time in Turin spent in the starting XI. His role diminished last season, however, when he was used more frequently as a substitute.
Van der Voort highlighted that experience as another reason for PSV supporters to be optimistic.
“He has played quite a number of matches for Juventus, of which a lot were in the starting lineup. Only last season was he a substitute. I think eighteen substitute appearances.”
Kostić now begins a new chapter in Eindhoven, where his experience across several major European clubs is expected to help PSV as they pursue another Eredivisie title and compete on the European stage.
For Van der Voort, there is little doubt about the quality PSV have added.
“But guys, we’re just bringing in a great player from Juventus. I think it’s a very good signing.”
