Who Was Bournemouth’s Standout Performer in the 3-0 Win Over Aston Villa?

Bournemouth continued their incredible run of form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, securing their place in the quarter finals of the EFL Cup and setting up an exciting away tie against Liverpool.

It was another hugely impressive performance from the Cherries, who made it three consecutive 3-0 victories across three different competitions. Even with Marco Rose making further changes to his starting eleven, Bournemouth showed their quality, depth and attacking threat to overcome a Villa side who have enjoyed an excellent start to the season.

Catching up with some statistics

Here's a new post ahead of the match at Old Trafford. I feel good about AFCB's prospects.

Who Is Your AFC Bournemouth Player of the Season So Far?

With the season well underway, we're asking the question - who has been the Cherries' Player of the Season so far?

Marco Rose's side have already delivered some memorable performances of late, and the squad has been rotated relatively heavily. There have been plenty of standout individual contributions, with some players consistently delivering the goods while others have stepped up with crucial goals.

Is it time for 'Nonny Time'?

It's been well documented lately how AFC Bournemouth have played well across this season's opening games, only to come unstuck in the latter stages of matches.

In the Australian Football League (AFL) the Fremantle Dockers utilise 'Wharfie Time' to see their team over the line.

Alternate Crests

I have noticed many teams wearing shirts with alternate versions of their crest so far this season. I can think of Man. Utd., Chelsea, Arsenal, and Leicester off the top of my head. Many of these are simplified to elements of the traditional crest. Sheffield Wednesday changed their crest to a less-elaborate version of their owl (I think one they had used previously.)
I like these as a change of pace. The new AFCB alternate crest is part of this "fashion" trend, though ours is not a simplified version. The white shirts will look great on television, which is how I see them. For that matter, the stripes look fine on TV, and the purple one will as well, even with the pink blob.

Bournemouth Points Projection

I like to make infographics of various football data. I'm going to be sharing them on my Substack, including the ones relating to AFCB. This is the first one of the new season.

How many Points should AFC Bournemouth expect from the last four games?

Bournemouth have to face Crystal Palace at home, followed by Fulham away. We then welcome table-topping Manchester City before the last game of the season sees Cherries travel away to Nottingham Forest.

Does the balance between growth and accessibility at AFCB feel right to you?

The latest FAB minutes have been released by AFC Bournemouth, and given the uncertainty on stadium development, there are probably more questions than answers!

For many supporters, this all raises a bigger question: where do you stand on the direction the club is taking?
