Karaban had another 20+ point game on Wednesday against Providence.

Brady Farkas on Alex Karaban's historic impact at UConn.

Senior Alex Karaban scored 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting on Wednesday night as the UConn men's basketball team beat Providence 103-98 in an overtime thriller.

In the victory, Karaban gained sole possession of fourth place all-time on the programs three-pointers made list (248). Presuming he stays healthy, he has a very good chance to break Rashad Anderson's all-time record of 276.

But that wasn't the only history Karaban made on Wednesday: He also entered the program's Top-20 all-time scoring list. He now 1,576 career points in a Huskies uniform.

About Karaban

A four-year player from Massachusetts, Karaban has appeared in 127 games with 126 starts. He's also been a member of the All-Big East Team (2024-25).

He's averaged 12.4 ppg for his career while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 38 percent from three. He's also an 85 percent free-throw shooter who has averaged five rebounds and two assists.

One NBA Draft analyst recently said he's a "lock" to have a great NBA career, and he has the shooting ability to stretch the floor. However, he'll need to work on his quickness to stay with the agile forwards at the next level.

The Athletic just ranked him as the No. 34 prospect in the upcoming draft.
