Who are the stars that headlined the top 10 selections in the 2026 NFL draft?

The 2026 NFL draft got six picks in before a major trade, several Ohio State Buckeyes heard their names called, and the Las Vegas Raiders got their quarterback of the future in the top ten selections of this year’s draft. Here’s a roundup of the NFL draft top 10, their new homes, and fits with their respective teams.

1. Las Vegas Raiders – QB Fernando Mendoza (Indiana)

The Heisman Trophy winner was the consensus top pick for a while, and there was no surprise here as the team selected their quarterback of the future. Full story from Raiders Roundtable writer Stephen Mottram:

2. New York Jets – EDGE David Bailey (Texas Tech)

The New York Jets were in need of a pass rusher, and they didn’t overcomplicate things with their selection of an explosive prospect out of Texas Tech who will look to fix a league-worst pass rush in sacks. Full story from Jets Roundtable writer Dylan Feltovich:

3. Arizona Cardinals - RB Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame)

There's no question that Love is one of the most talented prospects in this year's draft class, but there's certainly a question about the use of the No. 3 overall pick on a running back when the team has a lot of issues they could have filled with a premium pick. Full story from Notre Dame Roundtable writer Bryan Driskell:

4. Tennessee Titans - WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State)

The Titans went with the best wide receiver in this draft, and filled a clear void at WR1 with Tate, who will be Cam Ward’s top target this season. They had plenty of options, but clearly coveted Tate. Full story from Buckeyes Roundtable writer Anthony Moeglin:

5. New York Giants - EDGE Arvell Reese (Ohio State)

The Giants arguably got a steal with their edge rusher, selecting that position for the second straight year with a pick in the top five, the highest new coach John Harbaugh has ever picked. After an electric 2025-26 campaign for the Buckeyes, the elite athlete Reese made it to No. 5 and will look to be a franchise player for New York. Full story from Giants Roundtable writer Matthew Schmidt:

6. Kansas City Chiefs (CLE) - CB Mansoor Delane (LSU)

The Chiefs made the first move of this year’s draft, trading up for the No. 6 pick from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for Nos. 9, 74 and 148. They were expected to make that move. The selection was a bit more surprising after thoughts they would grab an edge rusher or maybe a target for Patrick Mahomes. But the prospect out of LSU is pro ready, and his decision to transfer to the Tigers clearly paid off for his draft stock. Full story from Chiefs Roundtable writer Bob McCullough:

7. Washington Commanders - LB Sonny Styles (Ohio State)

The Commanders are looking to rebuild a defense that will now be headlined by the third Buckeyes prospect to go off the board in the top 10. They’ll look to paid Styles alongside linebacker Leo Chenal, adding a prospect with strong athleticism and speed highlighted by a 4.46-second 40-yard dash. Full story from Commanders Roundtable writer Ahmed Ghafir:

8. New Orleans Saints - WR Jordan Tyson (Arizona State)

The Saints went with wide receiver in a rare but welcomed move for the franchise as head coach Kellen Moore gets his guy at receiver. After finding their potential franchise quarterback in Tyler Shough in last year’s draft, New Orleans will look to add some electricity next to Chris Olave. The dynamic playmaker will be expected to contribute immediately, and while there were other options available, the same could be said when they selected their quarterback last season – and that was clearly the right move. Full story from Saints Roundtable writer Nick Crain:

9. Cleveland Browns (KC) - OT Spencer Fano (Utah)

The Browns had several needs to address in this year’s draft and went with protection up front. They didn’t feel like they needed to make this pick at No. 6 apparently, trading back with the Chiefs. Fano is a three-year starter who made starts at both left and right tackle, showing valuable versatility. Cleveland has several holes as they rebuild their line that Fane could slot into. Full story from Browns Roundtable writer Spencer German:

10. New York Giants – OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami)

The Giants addressed defense with their first pick and rounded out their second top 10 selection with an offensive tackle out of Miami. Mauigoa boasts a rare strength and athleticism and displays good balance. There are some thoughts he could move to guard at the next level. Full story from Giants Roundtable writer Matthew Schmidt:
