PSV remain deep in negotiations to sign highly rated Danish striker Mikkel Bro Hansen, with the Eindhoven club still working to reach an agreement with Bodø/Glimt over a multi-million-euro transfer fee.

According to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV are still pushing to complete a deal for 17-year-old Mikkel Bro Hansen, with sources close to the situation indicating that the Dutch champions remain on course to sign the Danish talent in the coming days.

An agreement in principle has already been reached between PSV and the player. The remaining obstacle is an agreement with his current club, Bodø/Glimt, over the transfer fee.

There is not yet a breakthrough between the clubs, meaning it would be premature to describe the move as imminent. Nevertheless, PSV remain confident about their chances of bringing Bro Hansen to Eindhoven.

Bodø/Glimt are keen to retain the teenager and have offered him a new contract. His current deal in Norway expires in just ten months, however, which means the club's negotiating position is not as strong as it might otherwise be.

Bro Hansen is leaning towards a move to PSV, while his entourage, after wavering several times during the process, is now also aligned with the Eindhoven club's plans.

The negotiations have nevertheless proved complicated and time-consuming.

Sources close to the player indicate that disagreements have emerged over several issues, including the possibility of Bro Hansen being included on PSV's UEFA Champions League squad list.

The situation has fluctuated repeatedly in recent weeks, with the transfer appearing closer at some moments before becoming more uncertain again. The latest indications, however, remain favourable for PSV.

Because Bro Hansen is only 17, PSV can offer him a maximum three-year contract under the applicable regulations. The club is nevertheless prepared to put attractive terms on the table to convince the young striker to make the move.

Bro Hansen is not the only player PSV are pursuing as the transfer window enters its decisive phase.

The club is also working on deals for Sam Lammers, Ayoni Santos and Sami Ouaissa, although there has been no definitive breakthrough in any of those negotiations.

Not every player linked with PSV in recent weeks will ultimately arrive in Eindhoven. The club has medical examinations scheduled with TopSupport, its medical partner, next week, but it remains uncertain which of the potential signings will actually undergo those examinations.

There could also be departures from the PSV squad. Isaac Babadi and Esmir Bajraktarevic remain candidates to leave, with decisions on both players expected in the coming days.

For now, PSV's priority is clear: negotiations for Bro Hansen continue, and despite the twists and turns of the process, the Eindhoven club still has a strong chance of securing one of Denmark's highly rated young attacking talents.
