The Packers kick off their 2026 season against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 13, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Talk about pressure. The Vikings are certainly in a transitional place as a franchise, but getting going against an NFC North foe ratchets up the intensity of this season from the get-go.
It's a big season for the Packers. There's a belief that they're in a Super Bowl window right now, which means every single game is important. That means the intensity will be there in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets and it will certainly be there in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, when the Packers will play at Lambeau Field for the first time in 2026.
There's going to be a lot of proverbial ink spilled on this 2026 season and we here at PackersRoundtable hope that you spend as much time as possible with us talking about the ins and outs and ups and downs of the Packers.

Had this list been completed before training camp started, he would have lower due to the fact that he's an unproven rookie. The Packers' No. 52 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Cisse has shown up and more in training camp, though, and there's been a ton of buzz around him.
He's athletic, physical and, apparently, very locked in. Word coming out of camp is that there's a realistic chance for him to quickly become a starting cornerback for this team and considering the weaknesses of Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon, he very well could quickly become the team's CB1.
In fact, the only reason he's not higher on this list is because, as it stands, he's completely unproven. We have to remember that everything he's been showing in OTAs and in training camp has been when it doesn't actually count.
Can Cisse be the player he's been all offseason when the hits are for real? That's the big question he has to answer early on in 2026, because everything else is apparently coming up aces.
Cisse checks in at 6-foot, 189 pounds, and he put up some incredible athleticism numbers in the pre-draft process. He put up a vertical jump of 41 inches at the NFL Scouting Combine and then ran a 4.41-second 40-yard-dash at the South Carolina Gamecocks' Pro Day.
In three collegiate seasons (with his first two coming at North Carolina State), Cisse notched 65 tackles (41 solo), three tackles for loss, two interceptions, 10 passes defended and one forced fumble.
2025 Synopsis:
Cissee started all 12 games as a junior at South Carolina. He was credited with 27 tackles (19 solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, one interception and one forced fumble. He also notched five pass breakups.
