The Packers kick off their 2026 season against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Sept. 13, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Talk about pressure. The Vikings are certainly in a transitional place as a franchise, but getting going against an NFC North foe ratchets up the intensity of this season from the get-go.
It's a big season for the Packers. There's a belief that they're in a Super Bowl window right now, which means every single game is important. That means the intensity will be there in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets and it will certainly be there in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, when the Packers will play at Lambeau Field for the first time in 2026.

Clearly, they believe that, or else they wouldn't have given him a three-year, $57 million contract extension despite the fact that he was coming off a massive ankle and leg injury.
It makes sense, too.
When healthy, Wyatt is the definition of a disruptor in the middle. Checking in at 6-foot-3, 304 pounds, he's a big dude who can be hard to move, but he also moves with great quickness and agility.
Through four seasons since the Packers selected him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia, Wyatt has notched 16 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 30 quarterback hits, three passes defended, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.
That's a lot of firepower and game-changing ability in the middle of a defense, and Wyatt brings some nastiness to his game as well.
He is a key player on this defense, so here's hoping he stays healthy in 2026 and can recapture his high level of play.

In 10 games played with 10 starts, Wyatt notched 27 tackles (15 solo), six tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, two passes defended and four sacks.
