PSV were among the most active clubs on the final day of the summer transfer window, reshaping the squad with new arrivals, departures and a long-term commitment to one of their brightest young talents.

The reigning Eredivisie champions completed the signings of Ayoni Santos and Sam Lammers, while also working late into Wednesday evening to finalise the arrival of the highly rated Danish striker Mikkel Bro Hansen.

The club also sanctioned several departures, secured the future of Amir Bouhamdi with a new long-term contract and could yet see another player leave before the window is completely closed.

Lammers' return had been expected for some time and was finally completed on deadline day.

The 29-year-old striker signed a contract until mid-2028 and will compete with Ricardo Pepi for the central striker position.

PSV are paying €2 million to FC Twente for the permanent transfer, with the Enschede club forced to significantly reduce its original asking price.

Lammers' arrival gives Peter Bosz another experienced option in attack as PSV prepare for a season involving domestic and European competition.

Ayoni Santos has also joined PSV from Sparta Rotterdam, with the versatile midfielder capable of operating in attack as well.

The 21-year-old signed a five-year contract for a fee of around €5 million, making him a record transfer for Sparta.

As part of the wider deal between the clubs, Isaac Babadi has moved in the opposite direction on loan. The 21-year-old midfielder will now seek regular playing time at Sparta after falling down the pecking order in Eindhoven.

The move gives Babadi an opportunity to rebuild his momentum in the Eredivisie while Santos begins his next stage at PSV.

PSV also secured one of the more intriguing young signings of the window in Mikkel Bro Hansen.

The 17-year-old Danish striker joins from Bodø/Glimt, who had hoped to retain the highly rated forward. PSV Watcher Rik Eflrink of Eindhovens Dagblad reported PSV agreed to a fee of €3 million and handed Bro Hansen a three-year contract.

The deal had been in preparation for months and was helped by the connections of Director of Football Earnest Stewart and the team led by chief scout Thomas Schaling.

Bro Hansen was registered with the KNVB late Wednesday evening and is set to be officially unveiled on Thursday morning.

PSV also said goodbye to Essiën Bassey and Joël van den Berg.

Van den Berg is set to be unveiled by Celtic on Thursday, with his transfer expected to bring PSV approximately €3.5 million.

Bassey, meanwhile, has completed his move to Viking Stavanger, with PSV receiving just over €1 million for the young right-back.

As part of that business, PSV have signed another young player, Lyfe Oldenstam. He has successfully completed his medical and, like Bro Hansen, is scheduled to be unveiled on Thursday morning.

Amid the transfer activity, PSV also secured the long-term future of Amir Bouhamdi.

The 18-year-old forward has signed a contract running until mid-2031, having already reached a verbal agreement with the club before formally signing on Wednesday.

Bouhamdi has been making significant progress within Peter Bosz's first-team setup and has chosen to continue his development in Eindhoven.
